Reduced Salt Teriyaki Sauce, KIKKOMAN TERIYAKI LESS SALT, 250 ml

In Japan, Teriyaki 照り焼き dishes have been a traditional meal for generations. The term Teriyaki is formed from the two Japanese words teri (bright) and yaki (grilling/roasting/simmering): in a Teriyaki dish, the ingredients are roasted or grilled after being marinated or brushed with Teriyaki sauce which then gives both taste and gloss to food. This low-salt Kikkoman® Teriyaki sauce is produced from naturally fermented soy sauce, wine and spices: it is used for grilling and marinating red meats, poultry, fish, seafood and vegetables. In addition, its 40% reduced salt content ensures that soy sauce lovers who have to limit their daily salt intake can enjoy these dishes in the purest Teriyaki style, without compromising taste! Its round flavor on the sweet and salty palate gives an exceptional aroma to foods prepared in the pan, in the oven or on the barbecue. And not only in Japanese cuisine! Teriyaki sauce is also very suitable as a condiment to accompany sautéed, browned, au gratin or grilled dishes from all over the world.

Soy sauce (water, soy beans, wheat, salt), water, wine (contains sulfur dioxide), sugar, spirit vinegar, salt, spice extracts, thickener: xanthan gum, onion powder , garlic powder, capscium extract. Allergen: Soy, wheat. Contains a small amount of alcohol.

"Teri" translates to "luster/shiny" and "yaki" to "toasted". As its name suggests, the teriyaki dish is made up of meat, fish, shellfish and even tofu, grilled and caramelized with the sauce of the same name at the end of cooking.

Oven cooking is very rare in Japan, most often the Japanese use the "Sakana Yaki-ami", a small grill that sits on a gas stove to easily grill fish.
