Of the colour of the earth, brown agate symbolises constancy and well-being.
The Greek naturalist Theophrastus gave the agate its name as early as the 4th century BC. This mineral, which can be of different colours, forms slowly in the heart of volcanic rocks. It has always fascinated men who often use it as a rooting stone. It is indeed said that agate balances our physical, emotional and mental dimensions and promotes stability and centering. Cut in thin layers, agate reveals magnificent tones.
