Japanese clay pot - DONABE, made in Japan
This ceramic dish made of clay is from Iga province, south of Tokyo.
The donabe is generally smooth on the inside and porous on the outside. It allows the preparation of different traditional Japanese dishes: shabu-shabu, sukiyaki etc ... It is a friendly dish, it is placed in the center of the table so that everyone can serve themselves. A stove is therefore recommended.
If properly processed, these dishes can last for decades.
